Rage on PC is a good word to describe RAGE on the PC

I just wanted to give a quick timeline of what I have been dealing with on Rage for the PC.  I understand that Rage on the console is a different beast and has been getting pretty above average reviews and I can’t comment on those personally as I have not played the console version.  I’m basing this all from a PC users perspective.

With that out of the way it’s been way more trouble than I’ve had with a PC game in ages.  While Deux Ex: Human Revolution had it’s issues, all those were cleared up within an hour by updating my DirectX runtimes, and updating my video drivers.  Problems solved.  Rage was simply a train wreck on it’s PC launch, and still isn’t up to the same standard of it’s console brethren.  Here is a rundown of what I can remember;

MotorStorm RC: Review

MotorStormRC_feature

Evolution Studios, the creators of MotorStorm and, well, aside from that and WRC, not much else.  But that’s OK, because they are good at it, there isn’t much need to go into other things right now, right?

MotorStorm RC, although still a racing game, is a large departure from anything they have done previously.  While their other racing games have always been from traditional camera angles; Hood, in-car, rear, etc.  This game is seen entirely from a isometric angle.  Harking in games of old like Super Off-Road, and closer to the fantastic Rock and Roll Racing for the SNES.

So, with the change in play style, camera, and the shrinking of the MotorStorm franchise into a 5-inch screen (or, whatever size your TV is if you are playing on the PS3.) Does Evolution Studios pull it off?

PS Vita System Review

PS Vita.  Aren’t you a sexy little thing in your little black dress.  Your glossy black glass, curves, and giant, brilliantly bright screen.  Those sticks, look at those sticks.  There are 2 of those things! Oh, and what’s this in the back? is that a giant touch panel?  Oh my goodness.  Oh I know, I know…it’s not all about the looks.  I know you’re smart too, with your quad core chip and mind numbing amount of transistors and gig and megs of who knows what!  Truly, you are one of the most advanced pieces of beautiful tech I have had the privilege of owning so far.  But, just like all beautiful things.  That sexy black exterior hides some of the exact same grating issues that still, to this day, plague the PS3.  Is the PS Vita’s advanced tech enough to outshine it’s flaws?

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Zombies Review (iOS)

Now we all knew that Call Of Duty Black Ops was going to come out for the iPhone, it was only a matter of time.

Just like the console game, The iPhone version has the “kino” map which from the German I used to learn in school I think means Cinema or theater but its been a while since I have used German.  There is also the tutorial for the basics but if you’ve played Call Of Duty: World @ War already then the controls should be second nature. The last map that was included in the game when it was released was “Dead Ops Arcade”. Once again just like the console game, “Dead Ops Arcade” is played with the analogs that are on the screen. you can adjust the options to your comfort.

Skyrim Review

“I used to be an adventurer just like you, then I took an arrow to the knee”

How many times have you read that meme and just wanted to kill yourself? Seriously It’s been done to death and now even hearing it during gameplay I wanted to shove an arrow in my ears just so I won’t have to listen to it, but that’s just me. The same person who barely slept more than 3 hours a day and became a troll hiding under my blanket trying to achieve the 100% Platinum trophy for this game. In other words if you value your life, your family & friends, your health then don’t ever buy this game, EVER! It will take over your life because of how good it is. So without further ado, let’s get this review on the road, Arrow in the knee style~

 “ReverEND Note: This game was played over all 3 platforms by 3 separate players.  Each one will pinpoint some of the finer details that each version offers or some downfalls that one platform may have over another.”
