Trioviz and Darkworks say “3D is easy, bitches!”

Ok, I’m paraphrasing..  Today at GDC, darkworks, a development company says they are teaming up with Trioviz, another company that specializes in 3D conversion of 2D products.

So far, Batman Arkhum Asylum will be using the system for there “Game of the Year” Edition…which, isn’t coming to America.. bastards.

They claim that the tech can be viewed without 3D glasses and you won’t get a blurry image or messed up colors, that it will look the same as if it wasn’t meant for 3D.  But putting on the glasses will make everything Stereoscopic 3D.  Also claiming that it won’t use Red/Blue Analyph glasses.  So far, I haven’t seen any demos, although, they will be demoing some content later in the week for GDC.  Only time will tell.  To me, it sounds a little too good to be true though.  No need to buy an expensive TV?  expensive shutter glasses?.  HHmmmm…

I have heard rumblings that it’s just Magenta/Green filtered glasses, which, honestly, work worse than traditional Red/blue filters.  I haven’t read any solid confirmation that this is all it is, just posts on forums and the likes.
